Governance

The founding editorial board.

Editors are the reason a decision on EDA means something. We are recruiting the first board now — every seat below is open.

Roles

Subject editor

~2 hours a week

Triage new submissions in your field, assign reviewers, read their reports alongside the AI reports, and write the decision letter. You are the person who says yes or no.

Managing editor

~4 hours a week

Keep papers moving across every subject: chase late reviews, handle appeals, sign off on publication and DOI registration, and own the editorial policy.

Integrity officer

As needed

Investigate plagiarism, fabrication and misconduct reports following COPE guidance. Independent of the subject editors, and reports to the board.

What we ask of an editor

A doctorate or equivalent research record in your field, experience reviewing for journals or conferences, and a willingness to reject work kindly and clearly. Editors serve two-year terms, must declare conflicts of interest, and are independent of the fundraising side of the organisation.
